Villa Samara is a four suite holiday bungalow situated in the Chilaw District within complete privacy on the western coast of Sri Lanka. Previously a beautiful coconut estate of approximately twelve acres this resort promises a unique hideaway bordering the sea and lagoon similar to that of a peninsula. Amidst this calm and tranquil environment you can treat yourself to Sri Lanka’s traditional ayurveda remedies and get a taste of the finest available sea food. We are easy to access with just a one hour drive away from Katunayake International Airport and two hours drive from the city of Colombo.

Our luxury suites are 1000 square feet in size and tastefully decorated with antique and cane furniture. Each room consists of one king size bed as well as one small bed ideal even for family relaxation. Large windows and high ceilings with fans provide a fresh breeze throughout the day. Each suite is complete with mosquito netting and large modern bathrooms with hot/cold water facilities.

The swimming pool is situated in the inner garden area accessible from all four suites also leading to the spacious terraces. Which terrace you chose to relax in depends on your preferred view, the sea or the beautiful lagoon. Sea swimming is safe along our private beach. The roof top also provides an excellent far reaching view of the sunset. Western and eastern cuisine especially sea food can be provided in the privacy of your room or terrace.

The ayurveda pavilion and outdoor spa situated near the calm and serene lagoon provides our guests with treatment on request. Next to the pavilion is situated the Jacuzzi for relaxation throughout the day.
